Well hello there & welcome to Penny Farthing Photography's Blog. My name is Alison & I am the owner of Penny Farthing Photography. Penny is my baby (not a real baby) it is my passion & something I love doing. I have been a Photographer for several years I first learnt back in the days of film, ahhh those were the days! I adore Max Dupain's & Barbara Morgan's work if you don't know who they are check them out AMAZING. I'm not going to sit here write about how much I love photography & am never with out my camera & how I eat sleep & drink Photography bla bla bla This is where I tell you a little about me & what I do.

ME.....
I am a Scorpio, I have a major addiction to chocolate and am more of a funny movie kinda gal than scary movie. I am the youngest of 5 children (I have no clue how my parents did it and kudos to them) Born & raised in Australia on the Central Coast of NSW. I have been married for 5 wonderful years this July 2012 & have three loving & adorable children (2, 4 & 7yr), not to mention out big silly black lab called Zac.

My husband & I are parents to one ADHD child, One Aspergers child & one who suffers from Central Sleep Apnoea's and we would not have it any other way. Life is mad & very testing at times but such is life I love my babies & my babies love me.......well I think they do LOL

I drive a soccer mum car, love digging in the garden but am not so good in the kitchen. Ask my husband he will tell you packet food is apparently what I cook. I love Doris Day, Ginger Rodgers, Grace Kelly & Fred Astaire. I love old fashion romance & anything vintage. I am a self confessed hair retard, wish I knew more about hair & make-up. Austin Powers was my favourite movie growing up & I must admit I was a little obsessed ;)

As I said Penny is my baby, I love to create beautiful images for my clients that they can cherish for ever. My style is fun, fresh & free I call it lifestyle photography or life + style if you like. What's Lifestyle photography you say??? I love to capture people in a fun way enjoying life but in a stylish manor. I love style all things style whether it be around the home or in fashion. I also love vintage as you may notice my images have a vintage feel or tone to them.

Central Coast Photographer - Photo Shoot For J-Rose Hair Wyong

Last Sunday I had the pleasure of shooting some beautifulladies for Kyle Walbank of J-Rose Hair at Wyong on the Central Coast NSW for acompetition he is entering. It is quite a prestigious award; it is the KeuneTinta Colour trophy which is in partnership with Vogue Australia. The winnergets a trip to Amsterdam & A chance to be featured in Vogue Australia.

Kyle is already a international Keune colour master and whenyou look at the pictures below it isn’t hard to see why. I know Kyle will dowell in this competition & we wish him all the best xoxo Kyle did two looks for this shoot:

Central Coast Photographer - Summer on the Central Coast......It only lasted one day!

So here in NSW Australia well on the Central Coast we have not really had much of a summer. Now in February our last month of summer and it is yet to get hot. The coldest summer in 12 years they said on the news......any who on the weekend the weather was sunshine and happy days so in the afternoon my hubby & I took the kiddies down to the beach to soak up some sun and good times......

A friend of mine from school Kelly & her Hubby Dave are expecting baby #2 in 7 weeks form now. On the weekend I had the pleasure of photographing this lovely little package of a pregnant woman. Everything is just in a neat little package & she just looks so beautiful. The Kind of pregnant I wish I could have been ;)

Central Coast Photographer - Back To School

I no doubt joined the several thousand parents who celebrated today as school went back.....This year my eldest is in year 1 and I made a good start to the year by getting here there on time LOL Its hard work getting an ADHD child ready for school and their on time! I look forward to having my me time back which basically means no more editing till midnight!

However first things first a trip to the hairdresser on Thursday, This old Penny Farthing needs to look her best again xoxox
